Maikel obtained his M.Sc. degree in Electromechanical Engineering at KU Leuven Group T in 2020. He started his PhD on vibro-acoustic analysis in pedicle screw placement in the same year and continues this research within the Smart Instrumentation group under the supervising eye of Prof. Kathleen Denis.
