Ruixuan obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Electromechanical Engineering from KU Leuven. Her master research focused on free hand tracking and 3D ultrasound reconstruction for orthopedic surgery. In 2020, she joined Robot-Assisted Surgery group under supervision of Prof. Emmanuel Vander Poorten to develop autonomous robotic assisted spine surgery. Her research interests are hybrid mode ultrasound tracking, real time reconstruction and high level robotic control.
