FAROS Integration Week and Upcoming Review at KU Leuven

We are pleased to announce that the midterm review of the FAROS project will be held on September 12th at KU Leuven.

All partners have been closely collaborating in order to prepare for the review during this week’s integration week.

In this review, KUL and UZH will demonstrate how robotic PSP (Pedical Screw Placement) can be guided by intra-operative US scanning. Disk Herniation will be treated by means of Robotic-aided ELD (External Lumbar Dissectomy). SU, SpineGuard and KCL will also show the implementation of the developed behavior-based controller, functional observation model for breach detection, and coordinated control of two robotic arms for collision avoidance.
