We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us and work on FAROS. Within the FAROS consortium, research in the Department of Surgical & Interventional Engineering within the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences at King’s College London focuses on developing technology for novel image-guided interventions. Deep machine learning is being developed to interpret intraoperative data and link assembled knowledge to autonomously execute surgical actions at operating rates far beyond human response capabilities.
On Oct, 29th Dr. Larry T. Khoo presented in plenary session of the Annual Forum ‘21 of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (SMISS) the experimental results of the research on robotic breach prevention using the electrical conductivity technology. These results are the fruit of the collaboration between the researchers of SpineGuard and Sorbonne University, in collaboration with the surgeons from the Scientific Advisory Board of SpineGuard and will be explored even further within the FAROS project.
